he Bradford school community is ably served by a team of staff members that work tirelessly to keep the school functioning smoothly.
Briana is based at the lower school and supports lower school operation and provides administrative support to the Head of School, Dean of the Lower School, Director of Admissions, and Business Manager. Romy is based at the high school and spearheads Bradford’s advancement and fundraising efforts. She works to implement the advancement plan, oversees the Beyond the Books events and other special events, writes weekly news releases about current school activities and events, and assists with marketing and communications. Julius Pertillar, Soccer Coach and Physical Education Faculty
As soccer coach and physical education faculty, Mr. Pertillar utilizes his prior experience as an assistant coach at The College of the Holy Cross with the women’s soccer team, where he helped guide the team to the most wins in 25 years. Prior to Holy Cross, Coach Pertillar was at the Brooks School in North Andover, MA, for several years working with both the men and women’s soccer programs, winning New England championships with both teams. Coach Pertillar was also an assistant coach for Our Lady of the Elms College Men’s soccer team in Chicopee, MA. During his time in western Massachusetts, he also worked in the class room as a paraprofessional in the Holyoke Public School system. As a player, he was blessed to play professionally here in the United States and in Europe. Coach Pertillar also played division 1 soccer in college, and he played on the feeder team to the New England Revolution.
With eight years of experience in student development in higher education, Stacey is thrilled to be joining BCA to support the Dean of the Upper School and assist with the efforts of the daily operational logistics. Stacey possesses a background in administrative and events programming and has worked in career counseling and development at Gordon College and the University of Virginia. She loves working with students and believes there is an equal amount of learning that occurs outside the classroom as does within the classroom. Dan Smith, Athletic Coordinator and Physical Education Faculty
As a homeschooler, Dan came to BCA part-time his junior year so that he could participate in the basketball and theater programs. While attending college locally he gained coaching experience with the middle school boys basketball team, helped run game day operations, and provided assistance with theater. Now a Merrimack grad with liberal arts concentrations in communications and business administration, Mr. Smith is full-time at BCA. He is a gym teacher for the elementary and middle school grades, the coordinator for athletic schedules and logistics, and the tech director for lights in theater. In his spare time, Dan is a re-enactor in a Civil War unit and works at a Christian boys’ camp in Maine. He lives in Haverhill and attends Ward Hill Church of Christ the King.
