Margie Carrier

B.F.A., Rhode Island School of Design

Margie has been teaching Atelier Art at BCA for the past few years. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, Margie still felt that she needed to further develop her painting and drawing skills. After a recommendation from a RID teacher, she looked into studying at the Ingbretson Art Studio, where she now also teaches.  She learned how to improve her skills by comparing the relationships of proportions, angles, values, edges, and color. She learned a deliberate practice in painting that she wished she had learned in high school and college.  She loves having the opportunity to pass her skills a long to her students at BCA.  Margie is also a professional artist. Her goal is to be the best representational painter she can possibly be, including to be considered to be among the best in the country.
