Meet the Coach, Tim Angerhofer
Tim Angerhofer is honored to be a part of BCA’s community as a coach of its student-athletes. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Purdue University, B.S. Mathematics, Minor and Certificate of Proficiency in Spanish, Coach Angerhofer was a 15-year educator, all for Amesbury Public Schools. In Coach A.’s youth, he played various sports, but he focused primarily on basketball. His efforts paid off and he was named an All-Star in each of his two years at Syracuse University’s Big Orange Camp before transitioning to interests in music. Renewing his passion for athletics as an adult, Coach A. holds multiple coaching licenses and certifications spanning soccer, basketball, and tennis as well as athletics generally, including standing as a Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Certified Coach. His coaching experience includes 12 soccer seasons – boys, girls, co-ed, recreational leagues, travel leagues, club leagues, indoor, outdoor, 4 v 4 up to 11 v 11, youth, and high school (Whittier Tech). His coaching approach centers on consideration of the student-athlete and his or her development as a whole person first, emphasizing opportunity, participation, learning, trust, and performance, in that order. So, in play, the game itself – through the common cause of the team first – is the best teacher. All involved – coaches, players, and community – share responsibility for the experience together. Coach A. is thankful and full of enthusiasm for each moment of every season with BCA’s student-athletes.
