Bradford Christian Academy’s kindergarten program really nurtures little learners because we know that competence leads to confidence . Below, you’ll find a brief overview of what we offer, including:
Every Day is an Educational Adventure
Daily instruction in core subjects is complemented by the fine arts, Spanish, and physical education.
Students and their teacher gather and pray together.
Time to get the wiggles out! We incorporate Stretch Time throughout the school day so students get brain breaks through movement.
Students explore the wonders found in books while literacy skills are sharpened through Fundations®, a recognized leader in multi-sensory, structured literacy acquisition programs.
Dedicated time for active, collaborative learning and playing.
Students enjoy music immersion, artistic media such as painting, drawing, and sculpture, hands-on exploration of science concepts, Spanish language instruction, and movement through physical education.
Some favorite activities include climbing and swinging on our playground equipment, running, and the occasional game of hide and seek.
Bible lessons and prayer time happen daily while faith lessons are integrated throughout the curriculum.
Use of manipulatives and other hands-on activities introduce learners to mathematical concepts and number fluency.
Individualized instruction in a Christ-centered environment.
Our dedicated teachers take the time to really get to know their students, taking into consideration how they learn best and delivering content in a way that leads to comprehension and mastery. Our program provides a sequential introduction to the kindergarten classroom and curriculum so that preschool graduates have the continuity they need while also creating space and support for children who are stepping into their first school experience.
Our kindergartners flourish through:
Care and support
We cap our kindergarten classes at 12 students so teachers have the freedom to work with students one-on-one.
An active learning approach.
Hands-on activities and play-based learning guide students to an understanding of core subjects and enrichment content.
A stimulating environment.
From the playground to learning centers, our spaces are designed to be safe and encourage learning.
Modeling kindness
Our dedicated educators teach students to treat each other the way Jesus would want, and they reward little learners when they exemplify kindness.
Our kindergarten program is located on our lower school campus, which features safe, age-appropriate play areas inside and outside.
Is Bradford Christian Academy the right fit for your family?
Everyone at BCA is so amazing: teachers, staff, and families. I am so blessed to be a part of the community. Tears fill my eyes every time I speak of BCA and what it has meant to me. My kids are so happy and love school….all a mom wants is for their kids to be happy and safe, and they are at BCA.”

An Intentional Introduction to Elementary School
At BCA, we look at kindergarten as the start of your child’s elementary school journey. We start each school year by building the relationships and routines that create a classroom culture in which all students are socially and emotionally ready for productive learning. Throughout the school year, the teacher adjusts work for each individual student so they’re able to progress at their own pace. Because we keep our classroom sizes manageable, teachers give students one-on-one assistance and instruction whenever necessary.
Enriched Learning
Our kindergarten programs take an active learning approach and use hands-on activities to guide students to an age-appropriate understanding of core subject concepts. Utilizing Abeka curriculum, we focus on developing problem-solving and Our kindergarten program incorporates hands-on learning and small group activities to guide students to an age-appropriate understanding of core concepts. A Safe and Supportive Environment
As a Christ-centered school, students experience God’s love through lessons, teacher guidance, and daily interactions with their BCA lower school community. As students become more comfortable in their classroom environment, they start developing social skills and solidifying friendships, all while building up their confidence. In addition to providing students with social and emotional support, BCA ensures a safe learning environment through conducting background checks on all employees, exterior cameras to monitor the school grounds, and one main door that is monitored with a camera/buzzer system for entry.

“Kindergartners are at such a fun age! I love being creative with students through art and science projects. They surprise me every day with how much they absorb, and how quickly they change and grow. I’m so thankful to have a job I love and I get to wake up every day and do something I love.”
