How long have you been at BCA?
What is your favorite thing about being at BCA?
It’s hard to pick just one, but I’ll try. When I went to BCA in high school I always felt like the school was a second home to me. It was such a safe space. Now, I would say my favorite part about BCA is the sense of peace I feel everyday walking into work, and I hope my students feel the same way when they come to school everyday.
Tell us about your background and what led you to BCA?
I have been working in early education since graduating college in 2012. I have always loved teaching little ones, watching them grow and having the opportunity to utilize my own creativity in the classroom. In 2020, after three years of teaching in Boston and 8 years of teaching in total, I was considering a career change after having my second child. A week after quitting my job in Boston, I saw that BCA was looking for a kindergarten teacher and I knew I had to apply. I never thought I would be blessed enough to be back at BCA, but when I was offered the job I was over the moon with happiness. The past three years teaching at BCA has ignited my love for early education again and it is my hope to stay at BCA as long as they’ll have me.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Spending quality time with my three children and husband is my favorite pastime outside of BCA. I also love spending time outside, relaxing and DIY projects.
