Meet Coach Quinones!
Title: Athletic Director and Student Specialist
How long have you been at BCA?
I started as middle school coach in 2019!
What is your favorite thing about being at BCA?
My favorite thing about BCA is that I get to educate and coach while being able to talk about God freely. I wasn’t allowed to do this in many of my previous jobs and always felt that God was the solution in many of my conversations.
Tell us about your background and what led you to BCA?
When I was 15, I coached my first team. My first job was working as a teacher’s aid for the Boston Public School Summer School program called Teach Boston. Then I participated in an AmeriCorps program which launched me into what has now been 30 years of working in education on a national level. I now run a consultant business with my wife while working at BCA, where I have the opportunity to give trainings on how to set up programs, develop staff and give violence prevention workshops.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Going to the beach. Each summer, I’m at Salisbury or on a beach in Maine.
