Service
At Bradford Christian Academy, we embrace opportunities to serve internationally and domestically.
In 2008, BCA sent its first short-term service team to the Dominican Republic to work on a construction project in a small sugar cane village called Batey Angelina. This community belongs to the larger region of San Pedro de Macoris, about forty minutes from Santo Domingo. Over the years, we have built a strong relationship with the local church in Batey Angelina including regular return visits. Service teams from BCA have participated in various construction projects in Batey Angelina, including the construction of a student center and expansion of the church building. Since the first trip in 2008, dozens of BCA students have had life-changing experiences serving in the Dominican Republic.
In addition to our international projects, BCA students serve in our region. Each year, every high school student completes at least fifteen hours of community service. Our students are involved in non-profit organizations and church ministries throughout New England. Our goal is to encourage and empower students to serve their local and global communities now and for the rest of their lives.
